i've switched out my bulb with 3 new ones at this point, but the bulb's are only glowing extremely softly at the parts where it goes into the plastic fitting, rest of the bulb remains completely unlit, light fitting worked fine before this for years, i assume i'll now need an electrician to visit because it's presumably the fitting itself that has died rather than the bulbs, anyone able to tell me if i'm thinking along the right lines?

the worst thing happened to my mums boiler basically what happened is mum put the heating on before everyone went to bed then in the morning i went down stairs and seen that the thermostat said off i was so fucking confused so i went up to mum to tell her that the thermostat said off when she seen the thermostat she was confused as fuck so we went up to the boiler and it was off so mum pushed the power button and nothing happened so she pushed it a million times nothing happed so she called the people that installed the heating when they came they were checking out the boiler and then we were all shocked when we found out the boiler had malfunctioned and wouldnt turn on so it had to be replaced now we have new boiler its the same as the malfunctioned one but better

Great video but not many videos on older boilers. Mine is an ideal classic FF230 boiler ran but did not ignite. Fan ran I could hear ignition spark and the gas valve made a noise but obviously did not open. PCB I thought get a boiler man in. Well his diagnosis was the Sam but he would also change the pressure switch. How much can't get parts he said, but I will make a call. His price was just short of £700. You should fit a new boiler he said £2660, 12 year guarantee ok I. Said but he was charging me for a pressure relief valve I said the system had one not on the boiler loop he said we could not agree so I elected to source the part and do it myself. eBay is awash with genuine parts for this boiler new PCB £50:00 15 to fit job done boiler work. Gas safe gas fiddle more like

Hi i have ideal logic combi ESP135 boiler during the annual service the guy said that my boiler have problem with gas valve and need to be replaced. Iam not convinced with what he said so i will be thankful if you can please tell me what faulty code will it show on the boiler if something is wrong with gas valve and how can we notice that the gas valve is gone. Thank you.

This was an exact replacement for the old one that lasted about 10 years. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx7yWIKcrbA9KMHkGSfcgxW2lsjHT6B8Sh The top of my mitigation tube by my roofline was just a 90 elbow which allowed too much debris to fall down into the fan, eventually ruining it. Without this issue, I bet it would have kept running another 10 years. When I replaced this fan, I added an extra elbow joint so the top tube now it does a 180, which should solve that problem. The radon guys around here wanted to charge me a $300 diagnostic fee, then parts/labor (probably close to $600 total). I installed this all by myself in about an hour for the cost of the fan; it would probably be even easier/faster with two people. FYI the manufacturer's warranty greatly differs depending on whether you install it yourself (1 yr warranty) or have a licensed installer do it (10 yrs).

That's nice, you have the screw on one. I have the kind that clips in and in order to change the bulb you apparently have to take a knife to it, fall off a step-ladder, injure your back, break the cover and cut your hand, have an argument with your wife, (optional step: kick the stepladder over and call it a c**t), buy a new bulb, put that in, find a shop where you can buy a new cover, clip that in, wait until next year when it starts flickering and repeat the process. Simple really. I don't know why I needed to be on RUclips.
